About the Author

I am now retired and have three lovely grandchildren and I enjoy my lawn bowls.
I decided to write my book having started to read a book on lawn bowls that promised humour and sex, but after about sixty pages I gave up as it was boring and not humorous or sexy.
I thought to myself I can write a book that will be more interesting, and here it is.

I am in my early eighties, and I love my lawn bowls.

I was born in London and moved to Stevenage New Town, where I married my wife.

Then, we went to the South Midlands and a small town on the south coast between Southampton and Bournemouth.

My working life began in a bank. Then I moved into accountancy, and I accepted voluntary redundancy. I ran a couple of shops but decided shop life was not for me. So I moved into selling, which is where I spent nearly thirty years, finishing up by owning my own business in partnership in the dreaded double glazing.
